Tid Bits

Little blog. I have neglected you. The past few weeks at school have been absolutely crazy. I feel like I'm going non-stop and have barely had time to sleep, let alone blog…
SO, here are some random pictures from what I've been up to.

I moved back to school for my junior year.

I finally quenched my donut craving and had to say bye to two of my most favorite people, my mom and dad :(

I had about a week of cross-country camp with my best friends!! Lots of miles, but lots of fun.

I went to Payne's with some fun girls and had delicious soup and grilled cheese.
I bought this rug (technically a throw) at a garage sale.

I had my first day of school pic with Lukey.
Thanks GOODNESS we go to the same college.
Shout out to Lindsay and Morgan and those long distance relationships.

I sent Luke nap time selfies.

Welcome to the weird snacks of Haley Arlt. Tomatoes, pickles, olives, etc.

I've been running morning practices with my team once a week.

I PR'd in my first meet and my parents drove up to watch!

My Linny had her 19th birthday! She is the best. We went to Ivanhoe's to celebrate.

Luke and I finally made it to the Abbey for coffee. It was such a fun night. We didn't get any work done.

I did homework outside with Linds on a beautiful day.

My friend is a creeper and sent me this pic.

My piper and scoot obsession continues.

I guess I've been studying too.

Love my necklace from my parents. (it says 2013 on it in roman numerals. a significant year in my relationship with Christ!)

I was nominated to be the psychology club president! (!!!!) very exciting but a lot of work! first task completed was redoing the bulletin board with the rest of the officers!

I LOVEEE Lindsay Arlt. She is so fun and we hustled right on over to Moe's for free queso day. She got out of class at 11 and I had class at 12:05. We ate in the car. It was worth it.

Again, I love Lindsay. She gave me this "relaxation care package" full of some of my fav snacks: green olives, mini reeses, peanut butter m&m's… uh and yeah I definitely had to carry that sparkling juice from the student center to my room. IWU is a dry campus.

Luke ran a super fast 10K race! And I was a volunteer for cross-country. I super enjoyed getting to cheer him on for once! I was a proud girlfriend.

After the race we went to get our bridesmaid dresses for this amazing BRIDE to be!!! Angel is my roommate and seriously such a sweet friend and example to me! I am sooo excited about her wedding in December not so excited to loose my roomie but the good outweighs the bad. (She doesn't like having her picture taken. opposite of bridezilla)

Some of the bridesmaids getting coffee (fall drinks!!!!) after dress shopping!

another favorite snack/dinner

I have also fallen in love with watercolor pens. This was Luke's 2 year 11 month anniversary card. It's girly. Your point. (Three years together is ALMOST HERE! eeekk!)

I have my first physiological psychology exam next week. Please please pray for me. I am not a sciency girl. I am not.

Pretty artwork by God.

Visting home this weekend and seeing my parents and pup! Lookin out her little window. (we keep the blinds up so she can look out)

I also had a super fun date with my daddy at Fusian! We also got starbucks afterwards. (2nd salted caramel mocha of the season)
Here's to fall, family, friends, and physio!

Love haley

Better Late Than Never

At the end of the summer my family planned a long-weekend trip to Michigan because we needed some time together before Linds and I headed back to school. The boyfriends came too!
It was a fun new adventure because we had never taken a trip there before!

These are pictures from my run on the first morning in Grand Haven. It was fun running around and exploring the town on my own!

After that we went to the beach and walked down to the lighthouse. The water was F R E E Z I N G.
Also, Luke and his family go to Michigan every summer and he knows all about everything Michigan. He is a huge Michigan fan (football and basketball) and could even tell us facts about how deep lake michigan is. He kept calling it "home." DISCLAIMER: Luke is from Ohio and has never lived in Michigan. doesn't stop him

(also making his debut on the blog: Christian, Lindsay's boyfriend!)

We explored the cutest downtown area and had pizza there for lunch!

We stopped at a market on the way home and picked up some blueberries! I just love these colors.

(Luke is a blueberry monster)

We spent a good amount of time playing euchre and other card games. (cribbage is Luke's all-time favorite game-let's just say throughout our relationship I have learned to humor him and play with him even though he is quite competitive)

The next day we went paddle boarding and kayaking and even ate lunch out on the lake! It was a lot of fun and paddle boarding got much easier the longer we were out on the water.

Do you see what I mean people?

Afterwards we had to stop at The Front Porch to try some of their ice cream! Delish.

Just some really cute selflies, I promise he loves me.

Dinner!

Mom and sis!

We went to a car show!

Diet coke out of the bottle is the very best.

Diet coke + Luke = L O V E

Then we went to the dune rides! Seriously so fun!

A tad bit windy.

Love the table cloth pattern at breakfast!

Thanks for a great trip mom and dad!

It went by so fast, but it was a great end to the summer!
