LET’S GO ON AN ADVENTURE

I got a very exciting text from one of my best friends and teammates from school--Morgan--that her boyfriend was visiting friends in Ohio and that she may be able to stop on by my house for the weekend! That girl is fun. So we did some fun things!
Friday night, right after picking her up, we went to sky zone with some of my high school friends! It was lots of fun! I very bravely performed a couple flips into the foam pit and one "kind of flip" on the regular trampoline. Mostly I just bounced up and down. Some of my other friends did some cool tricks. Especially my friend Jamie who dives at her school. She only got in trouble by the lifeguards of the trampolines a few times. We didn't get a picture there which was very sad because we all got these cool orange sky zone socks.

Saturday morning Morgan and I ran together. (So great running with a teammate!) Then we had quite the adventure planned. Hence the title. We packed a picnic lunch and headed out to Cedarville with Linds once she got off work.

We were going to see the waterfall! And possibly jump off after some initial inspections.

Morgan has beautiful red hair.

Okay so the waterfall looked a little bigger in person than it did on the Instagram video I had watched. There was a very nice couple sitting at the top. We asked them if they had been off or knew how deep the water was. Nope. So Lindsay, my very cautious cancer survivor sister, decided to just jump off. I took pictures. She was fine except she said it felt like she was falling for a long time.
Cool.
Exciting.
Can't wait.

I decided to go.

So I didn't have the best form okay.

Morgan decided that she wanted to go because she would regret it if she didn't. I gave her a pep talk for a few minutes while we stood at the top. Then-she did it!
We were proud of ourselves. We did hit the bottom with our feet which was a little freaky. I also had some issues with my ear for a little while afterwards. But, we survived!

Then we had our lovely picnic.

We went to the Greene later that night for some shopping and dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. The picture of the ring was just a ring at Old Navy. But I definitely sent that picture to Luke and my mom. Just for fun.
Luke's response was "Where did you get that?" and my mom's was a sarcastic "Congratulations"

Fun fun.

After dinner, we went the the "K" back in Springboro. It was very delicious. I had coffee ice cream on a cone dipped in chocolate.

Isn't she cute? We like to call her lil BBQ because she gets so bronzed from lifeguarding.

This thing was a mess. I think Morgan was really pleased with watching me try to contain the mess.

It was a really great weekend and I'm SO glad Morgan was able to visit. Friends like her make me love school even more!

Just a Fun Week

This week started off with my usual nanny-schedule. I took the boys to Woodhaven--where Luke works-- on Monday and won some cool nanny points when I bought them ice cream.

He always wears his sunglasses.

Luke took me out for a semi-spontaneous dinner at J Alexander's. (I scored in the boyfriend department)

Kyle's (boy I nanny) Pokemon cards or whatever finally came in the mail and he was quite excited. They waited by the mailbox and took it straight from the mail lady and ran up the driveway cheering. I got it all on snap chat video then tragically deleted it later.

I also brought back the tankini. (Here i am pictured being a pack-mule on the walk to the neighborhood pool while nannying)

Thursday night Luke took me to see Divergent at the cheap theater. It was pretty good--very hunger-games-esque!
Originally I wanted diet coke out of the bottle (better than out of the can), but Luke said there wasn't time before the movie and that I could get some after. Well after the movie I wanted a donut. Girl's just work that way.
On our way home we saw four ducks on the road. Two of which were dead. :( Luke heroically suggested that we try and rescue the two living ducks--I agree and we turned around. By the time we got back the other two were gone! hooray!
Then we went to Kroger and there were no donuts. So I had to buy the packaged kind. Still good! Luke who does not need to worry about what he eats conveniently chose a plum as his snack. (seriously??!) I also impulse-bought a cute cactus. I think we're going with Ed for the name.

I have seen a lot of Luke in his USA jersey lately. This morning in church he asked me if he could get an "Ole?!" for the final world cup game. He is somethin.

I also received this package in the mail!! Angel, my roomie, IS GETTING MARRIED in December! This was my official bridesmaid package. So excited!!

Luke came over Friday for brunch! I found a french toast recipe on the internet and whipped some up. It was actually pretty good! I was proud. A few months ago at school I made dinner for Luke and set off the fire alarm in my dorm.

Notice Zoe monitoring the cooking.

Luke has been a trooper with my new "I need pictures for the blog" phase. Ed stood in as a centerpiece.
The flowers were a surprise for Lindsay from her boyfriend, Christian. They are cuties!
All in all, it was just a good week.
